Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

Thank you for your interest in employment with the TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Dothan Regional Airport, Dothan, AL
• Flight Schedule: 12.25 hours a day, seven days a week
• Peak Times:
  • Monday through Sunday: 5:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.
  • 1 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Work Schedules

• Shifts: Based on the operational needs of the airport, may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility: Limited flexibility for personal commitments.
• Emergency Personnel: TSA employees are expected to report for duty during inclement weather.

Currently assessing candidates for part-time positions:

• Tour of Duty: 20 hours a week
• Shifts: Five days with four hours per day during morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.

Sign-On Bonus

This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time.

Travel and Training Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required classroom and on-the-job training, which may require travel away from the employee's airport.
