Transportation Security Officer (TSO) Job Overview

If you successfully complete the TSO candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security's mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Alexandria International Airport, Alexandria, LA
• Operational Schedule: 14 hours per day, 7 days per week
• Peak Times: Sunday to Friday, 4:30 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.
• Work Environment: Screening operations both inside and outside the terminal.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on airport operational needs, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific shifts are assigned post-training and may change based on operational needs.
• TSA employees are emergency personnel and must report for duty during inclement weather.

Part-Time Positions

• Shifts: 25 hours per week, 5 days at 5 hours per day
• Morning and afternoon shifts may be required.
