Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). By becoming a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will support the vital mission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Local Airport Details
- Flight Schedule: 8 hours per day, 7 days per week
- Peak Times: Sunday to Saturday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Screening operations are located inside the terminal, potentially without temperature control.
Work Schedules
- TSO work schedules are based on the airport's operational needs, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Specific shifts are assigned after successful training completion and are subject to change.
- TSA employees are considered emergency personnel required to report during inclement weather.
Positions Available
- Full-time: 40 hours per week (5 workdays; 8-hour shifts)
- Part-time: 25 hours per week (5 workdays; 5-hour shifts)
Sign-On Bonus
Up to $10,000 for this duty location, paid in two installments within the first 12 months of service. Incentive amounts may change.
Commuter Details
- Onsite parking available at no charge for TSA employees.
- No public transportation to the airport; transportation subsidies are not offered.

Travel and Training Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing classroom and on-the-job training, which may require up to six weeks of travel away from your airport of record.
