Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Operating Schedule: 12 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Peak Times: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Monday - Sunday)
• Work Environment: Screening operations for passengers and baggage may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO schedules are based on operational needs, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is limited, and specific shifts will be assigned post-training.

Part-Time Opportunities

We are currently assessing candidates for part-time positions with a tour of duty of 25 hours per week (4-5 workdays, 4-5 hours per day) that may include split shifts.

Travel and Training Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required classroom and on-the-job training, which may involve a minimum of three weeks of full-time travel.

Dress Code

Uniforms are provided, with restrictions on certain accessories and grooming while in uniform.
