Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the TSA. If you successfully complete the TSO candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport, Rhinelander, WI
• Flight Schedule: Maintains eleven (11), seven (7) days per week.
• Peak Times: Sunday – Saturday: 6 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Screening operations are located inside the terminal and are temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific shifts are assigned after training and are subject to periodic adjustments.
• TSA employees are considered emergency personnel and are expected to report for duty during inclement weather.

Current Openings:

• Part-time positions available
• Shifts: 20 hours per week, five (5) days of four (4) hours per day
• Morning: 5:15 a.m.–9:15 a.m. or Afternoon: 12:15 p.m.–4:15 p.m.

Compensation

This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time. Recruitment Incentive amount is subject to change and will be determined at the time of final job offer.

Promotional Potential

Under the career ladder system for TSOs, new officers have a path to increase their base salary by up to 67% over 5 years, along with any federal-wide pay increases.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking is available for TSA employees free of charge.
• Public transportation is not available.
• No subsidies for transportation are offered.
