Job Overview

We are currently seeking candidates for the role of Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at the Jack Brooks Regional Airport in Beaumont, TX. If selected, you will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in safeguarding our transportation systems.

Local Airport Details

• Operating Hours: 24/7 flight schedule
• Peak Times:
  • 5 a.m. – 8 a.m.
  • 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
• Screening Locations:
  • Passenger screening inside the terminal (temperature controlled)
  • Two baggage screening locations outside the terminal (one also temperature controlled)

Work Schedules

TSO schedules are based on airport needs and may include:

• Non-traditional shifts
• Weekends and holidays
• Specific shifts assigned post-training, with periodic adjustments

Note: TSA employees are emergency personnel, required to report during inclement weather.

Compensation

• Current Part-Time Shift: Approximately 25 hours per week, five days at five hours each day.
• Sign-On Bonus: Not available at this time (subject to change upon final job offer).

TSOs have a clear path for growth, with the potential for a 67% increase in base salary over five years, in addition to federal-wide pay increases.

Commuter Details

• Onsite/offsite parking available for $35 - $45/month
• Subsidies for transportation offered at BPT
