Transportation Security Officer (TSO) Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Valdosta Regional Airport, Valdosta, GA
• Flight Schedule: 14.5 hours, seven days per week
• Peak Times: Monday to Sunday, 4 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Screening operations may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• Non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays included.
• Limited flexibility for personal commitments.
• TSA employees are considered emergency personnel and must report during inclement weather.

Part-Time Positions

Currently assessing candidates for part-time positions:

• 20 hours per week
• Five days of four hours each or four days of five hours each
• Shifts available: morning, afternoon, and evening

Compensation
