Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)
Thank you for your interest in joining TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. This role includes unique operational requirements and compensation plans.
Location
Westover Metropolitan Airport, Chicopee, MA
Work Schedule
- Schedules are based on operational needs, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- There is virtually no flexibility in accommodating personal commitments.
Sample Shift:
- PM Shift: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. (4-5 workdays).

Travel and Training Requirements
Employment at TSA is contingent upon successful completion of required training, which may require travel. Training typically lasts from three to six weeks and is conducted away from the employee's airport of record.

TSO uniforms are provided, and certain grooming and accessory restrictions apply while in uniform.
