Transportation Security Officer Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Flight Schedule: 8 hours, six days per week, Sunday to Friday.
- Peak Times: 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal and may or may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Note: Due to the nature of the job, virtually no flexibility is offered to accommodate personal commitments or schedules.
Availability
- Full-time: 25-40 hours per week.
- Part-time: Five (5) days of five (5) hours per day (morning and afternoon shifts available).
Location
Gogebic County Airport, Ironwood, MI
Sign-On Bonus
Currently, this location is not offering a sign-on bonus.
Commuter Details
- Onsite parking is available for TSA employees free of charge.
- Public transportation to the airport is not available.
- Subsidies for transportation are not offered at IWD.
