Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Merced Regional Airport, Merced, CA
• Maintenance of a seven days per week flight schedule.
• Peak times are Tuesday through Saturday:
• 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
• 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
• Screening operations are located inside the terminal and may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Due to the nature of the job, virtually no flexibility is offered to accommodate personal commitments or schedules.

Part-Time Opportunities

MCE is currently assessing candidates for part-time positions. Shifts include:

• 20 hours per week.
• Five (5) days of four (4) hours per day.

Sign-On Bonus

Currently, there is no sign-on bonus being offered at this location.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking is available for TSA employees free of charge.
• Public transportation to the airport is limited. Subsidies for transportation are not offered at MCE.
