Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Operations Hours: 4 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Peak Times: Vary
• Screening Operations: Located inside and outside the terminal, may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Due to the nature of the job, there is virtually no flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.

• Part-Time Positions Available:
• 25-32 hours per week
• Four (4) to five (5) days of six (6) hours per day
• Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts

Promotional Potential

Under the career ladder system for TSOs, officers have a path to reach up to a 67% increase from the starting base salary over 5 years.

Sign-On Bonus

This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking is available for TSA employees at $60.00 per year.
• Public transportation to the airport is not available.
• Transportation subsidies are not offered at ILM.
