Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Rogue Valley International - Medford Airport, Medford, OR
• Flight Schedule: 18 hours a day, seven days per week
• Peak Times: Monday through Sunday from 4 a.m. – 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
• Screening operations for passengers and baggage are located inside the terminal.

Work Schedules

• Part-Time Positions: 20 hours per week
• Five days of four hours or four days of five hours per day
• Shifts are primarily during morning and afternoon hours
• Flexibility: Due to operational needs, virtually no flexibility is offered for personal schedules.

Compensation

Currently, there is no sign-on bonus available at this location. Recruitment Incentive amount is subject to change at the time of final job offer.

Promotional Potential

New officers have a path to reach up to a 67% increase from the starting base salary over 5 years, along with any federal-wide pay increases.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking for TSA employees is available for $48.00 per quarter.
• Public transportation to the airport is not available, and subsidies for transportation are not offered at MFR.

Travel and Training Requirements

Employment with TSA is contingent upon successfully completing required classroom and on-the-job training, which may involve traveling away from your home airport.
