Transportation Security Officer Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Lawton-Ft. Sill Regional Airport, Lawton, OK
- Flight Schedule: 14 hours a day, seven days per week
- Peak Times: Thursday through Monday:
- 5 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
- 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Screening Operations: Inside terminal; may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
- Shifts: Based on operational needs; may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility: Virtually no flexibility due to the nature of the job. Specific shifts assigned post-training.
Current Part-Time Positions
- Hours: 20 hours per week
- Schedule: Four (4) days of five (5) hours per day.
- Shifts: Morning, afternoon, and evening.
Sign-On Bonus
This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time. Recruitment Incentive amount is subject to change.
Commuter Details
- Onsite parking available for a one-time swipe card fee of $25.00.
- Public transportation to the airport is not available.
- No transportation subsidies offered.

Travel and Training Requirements
Employment contingent upon successfully completing required training, which may include up to six weeks of travel in full-time duty status.
