Transportation Security Officer Job Overview

We invite you to apply for the position of Transportation Security Officer (TSO). As a TSO, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. This position requires operational readiness and offers unique compensation plans.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Durango-La Plata County Airport, Durango, CO
• Flight Schedule: We maintain a seven days per week flight schedule.
• Peak Hours:
  • Monday through Sunday: 4:30 a.m. – 6 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Screening operations may take place inside the terminal and are subject to temperature variations.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules reflect the operational needs of the airport, which may include:

• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Part-time: 30 hours per week (Five [5] days of six [6] hours)

Please note that flexibility around personal schedules is limited, and specific shifts are assigned post-training.

Sign-On Bonus

TSA is currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 for this duty location, paid in two installments within the first 12 months of service. Terms subject to change upon final job offer.

• Onsite parking available at no charge.

• No transportation subsidies offered.
