Job Overview

If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Maintains a 24 hours a day, seven days per week flight schedule.
• Peak times are Monday through Sunday: 4 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• Screening operations for passengers and baggage are located inside the terminal.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific shifts are assigned after new hires successfully complete their training.

• Part-Time: 20 hours per week (5 days, 5 hours/day)
• Full-Time: 40 hours per week (morning, afternoon, and evening shifts)

Compensation and Benefits

• Sign-On Bonus: Not available at this time.
• Promotional Potential: Up to a 67% increase from the starting base salary over 5 years.

Commuter Details

Onsite and Offsite parking is available with costs:

• Onsite McNamara Terminal: $35/month
• North Terminal: $25/month
• Off-site: $4 - $5 per day
