About the Position

As a Transportation Security Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security's mission. This fact sheet highlights some unique operational requirements and our compensation plan.

Work Schedule:

• Maintains a 16-hour a day, 7 days a week schedule.
• Peak times are Monday through Sunday: 4 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Shifts are assigned after training and are subject to change based on operational needs.
• Part-time positions (20 hours per week): Four (4) days with five (5) hours a day. Shifts will vary based on flight schedules.

Important Notes:

• Employees are expected to report during inclement weather.
• Limited flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.
