Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer

As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive evaluation process which includes training.

Local Airport Details: Altoona-Blair County Airport (AOO)

• Location: Martinsburg, PA
• Schedule: Seven days a week; dependent on airline's flight schedules.
• Hours of Operation: One hour prior and one hour after all flight departures.
• Days Off: Varied; typically at 12:30 p.m. Sunday through Friday.
• Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal and may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• Non-traditional shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Limited flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.
• Regular reporting during inclement weather as TSA employees are considered emergency personnel.
• Currently assessing candidates for part-time positions based on airport operational needs.
