Transportation Security Officer (TSO) Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in a career with TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. This position highlights unique operational requirements and compensation benefits.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Tri-Cities Airport, Bristol, TN
• Flight Schedule: 4 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., seven days per week
• Peak Times:
• 5 a.m. – 8 a.m.
• 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal; temperature controlled environments may vary.

Work Schedules

• Shifts: Based on operational needs, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility: Limited flexibility available for personal commitments.
• Emergency Personnel: Expected to report during inclement weather.

Current Part-Time Opportunities:

• Hours: 20 hours per week
• Schedule: Five days of four hours each, with morning and afternoon shifts available.

Compensation and Benefits

• Sign-On Bonus: Not offered at this time.
