Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Pittsburgh International Airport, Coraopolis, PA
- Maintains a seven days per week flight schedule.
- Peak times:
- 4:30 a.m. – 7 a.m. Monday - Friday
- 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday - Friday
- Screening operations are located inside the terminal.
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Specific shifts are assigned after training and are subject to periodic adjustments. TSA employees are considered emergency personnel and must report for duty during inclement weather.
Position Availability
- Full-time: 40 hrs. per week (five 8-hour days)
- Part-time: 20-32 hrs. per week (five 4-hour days)
Sign-On Bonus
This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time.
Commuter Details
- Onsite parking is available for TSA employees at $23/month.
- Public transportation to the airport is available, with subsidies offered at PIT.
