Position: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Will Rogers World Airport, Oklahoma City, OK
- Flight Schedule: 24/7 operation
- Peak Times: Monday through Sunday: 4 a.m. – 8 a.m. & 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal; may or may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
- TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Virtually no flexibility is offered to accommodate personal commitments.
- Specific shifts are assigned after training and are subject to periodic adjustments.
Current Shifts Available:
- Full-Time: 40 hours per week, five days of eight hours each.
Compensation
- Sign-On Bonus: Not available at this time.
- Recruitment Incentive amount is subject to change.

Promotional Potential
Employees can increase their base salary by up to 67% over five years, in addition to any federal-wide pay increases or changes to locality pay.
Commuter Details
- Onsite parking available at $60 per year.
- Public transportation to the airport is not available.
- Subsidies for transportation are not offered.
Travel and Training Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required classroom and on-the-job training. A minimum of three weeks of travel in a full-time duty status may be required.
Dress Code
TSO uniforms are provided. There are restrictions on accessories and grooming while in uniform.
