Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Meridian Regional Airport, Meridian, MS
• Schedule: 8 hour per day, 7 days a week
• Peak Times: Monday through Sunday:
  • 6 a.m. – 8 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Shifts:
  • FT: 0600-1430
  • PT: 0730-0930 / 1230-1430

TSO work schedules may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking is available for TSA employees at no charge.
• Public transportation is not available, and subsidies for transportation are not offered at MEI.

Promotional Potential

Under the career ladder system for TSOs, new officers can achieve up to a 67% increase from the starting base salary over five years, in addition to federal-wide pay increases.

Sign-On Bonus

This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time. Recruitment incentive amounts are subject to change.

Dress Code

TSO uniforms are provided. There are restrictions on certain accessories and grooming while in uniform.
