Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. If selected for a position, you will be essential in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. Please review the unique operational requirements and compensation details below.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta, GA
• Maintains a 24/7 flight schedule.
• Peak Times:
  • Mon/Tues/Sat: 5:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
  • Sun/Thurs/Fri: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
• Screening operations may take place inside and outside the terminal and may not always be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on airport operational needs, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• No flexibility is available for personal commitments.
• Shifts are assigned after training and may be adjusted to meet operational needs.
• TSA employees report for duty during inclement weather.

Position Availability

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week
• Part-Time: 20-25 hours per week
• Must work all Federal Holidays.

Sign-On Bonus

Currently, this location is not offering a sign-on bonus.
