What You Will Be Doing We are currently seeking a dedicated Structures Technician to join our dynamic team, focusing on the F-22 aircraft. The vast wilderness of Alaska offers a virtually unlimited playground for the outdoor enthusiast, while nearby Anchorage provides the same amenities you would find in any large city. This position is located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska supporting the F-22 modification line. Domestic travel may be required. This pivotal role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities. Some of the job requirements & responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Repairs, replaces, and overhauls F-22 aircraft structural systems to ensure airworthiness. -Determines feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of blueprints and aircraft drawings. - Selected candidate will have experience with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft. - Candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes. - Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders. - Must be available to work a flexible schedule as required to keep aircraft modifications on schedule. - Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. - Must acquire an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of aircraft structural repair experience 3+ years of tool control and FOD prevention experience 2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints Desired Skills: 5th gen fighter (F-22, F-35) structural repair experience Previously awarded a 7 Skill Level USAF (or equivalent Army/Navy/Marine rating) FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate Aircraft modifications and maintenance Experience at a US Military site Nose-to-tail maintenance concept Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
