Eng removal/install, FLT control removal/install, acft jacking/down-jacking, ACFT weigh jobs, ACFT movement, etc.) • Provide development of assigned technicians by providing OJT or mentoring as necessary for High school education or equivalent • 2 years experience performing as an accomplished aircraft mechanic on heavy commercial aircraft, or 1 year previously demonstrated ability within HAECO. What you need: (Requirements) • Capable of interpreting drawings and blueprints to accomplish a specific task • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required for A&P Lead Mechanics. Airframe certificate or Repairman’s certificate is required for remaining skills. • Must have good general knowledge of flight controls, rigging, aircraft systems, landing gear, engines, and hydraulics • Must understand and follow maintenance manuals and IPC • Read, write and understand the English language • Must have own tools as required by Company tool list • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Must be able to wear and breathe through a full-face respirator. • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment. • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb ladders and stands. • Visual Acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected and must be able to distinguish color. • Normal or corrected hearing. • Must be able to access all areas of the aircraft. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations, ensuring all work meets industry and Government standards. *Duties* * Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems and components on various helicopters. * Utilize hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks. * Conduct thorough inspections of avionics equipment to identify issues or malfunctions. * Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems. * Collaborate with engineering teams for design modifications and system upgrades. * Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations during all maintenance activities. * Document all work performed accurately, maintaining records for quality assurance. *Experience* * Proven experience as an Avionics Technician or in a similar role within the aviation industry or United States military. * Familiarity with electrical systems, including wiring, soldering, and circuit analysis. * Proficient in using meters and other precision measuring tools for accurate assessments. * Ability to militarise avionics systems as required by specific project needs. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
