Facilities Services Supervisor

Job Overview

Do you have a background in facility maintenance or operations and a knack for coordinating complex service contracts? DFW Airport is looking for a Facilities Services Supervisor to help manage and monitor contracted services across our world-class airport. This vital role bridges technical operations, quality control, and contractor relations to ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and efficient for travelers and staff alike.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop contract specifications and oversee vendor performance across facility services including electrical, mechanical, or custodial operations.

• Serve as liaison between the Energy, Transportation & Asset Management (ETAM) department and other internal stakeholders to streamline contract execution and compliance.

• Evaluate contractor performance and enforce contract standards through inspections, benchmarks, and quality audits.

• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and provide solutions that align with airport performance expectations.

• Collaborate with Quality Control Technicians to prioritize and adjust service schedules to meet operational needs and respond to emergencies.

• Assist with the environmental compliance responsibilities and report performance improvements or concerns to the Environmental Affairs Department.

• Maintain detailed documentation of contract activities, inspections, and performance issues.

• Deep knowledge of quality assurance methods, contract interpretation, and performance evaluation.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

• Strong skills in inspection, scheduling, estimation, and problem-solving.

• Effective communication skills, with a knack for balancing contractor relations and internal expectations.

• Familiarity with statistical analysis, recordkeeping, and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in business, engineering, or successful completion of a recognized trade program (e.g., HVAC, electrician, facility technician).

• 3 years of experience in facility maintenance or custodial services (electrical, mechanical, or custodial focus depending on vacancy).

• Valid Class C driver’s license.

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications (Desirable):

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.

• 3 years of supervisory experience in facilities, custodial, or trade services.
