Job Description

Avionics Mechanics with Dash-8 Experience Required for short term Opportunity based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

$40-45/HR

Responsibilities

  • Performs wire harness build ups, connector installation, terminating, soldering
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance as required by the position.
  • Performs on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components which includes but is not limited to: wire / harness / connector / component removal, installation, & repairs, routing, terminations, continuity checks, troubleshooting, and AC/DC & disturbed systems operational checks verifications.
  • Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Military Technical Orders, Manufacturer and Company Instructions.
  • Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks.
  • Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
  • Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract,
  • facilities, and job assignment.
  • Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
  • May be required to perform simple computer input functions.
  • May be required to work in a confined space.
  • Use arithmetic involving decimals and fractions. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Must be able to utilize computer-based systems to perform duties.
  • Fabricate detail parts from blueprint or engineering instructions

Requirements

  • A&P license (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience on military aircraft
  • OR 4 years of experience with civilian aircraft required
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft avionics and relative tasks
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • US citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing/able to work any shift or schedule.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments like air data test sets and other equipment to ensure system integrity

    May be required to lift weights of up to 50 lbs.
