Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems in aircraft. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations, and the ability to work with precision measuring instruments. The Avionics Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of aircraft systems.
We are an FAA 145 MRO service, and conduct line/hangar/AOG maintenance on the following aircraft, (we will accept candidates with fixed wing experience): Turboprop & Business Jet Platforms. Hawkers, King Airs, Citations, Gulfstreams, and piston popper aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and troubleshoot avionics systems and components.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Operate power tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accurate measurements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop solutions for avionics challenges.
- Maintain compliance with AS9100 standards throughout all processes.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and modifications.
- Assist in the militarization of avionics systems as required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working as an avionics technician on fixed wing aircraft
- business/corporate jet experience is preferred but not required
- Experience working in a heavy maintenance environment performing modifications and troubleshooting
- Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and AS9100 standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A&P License is not required but will result in a higher hourly rate
Employment Details:
- This is a long-term/permanent position, NOT a short term contract
- Compensation: Unlicensed= $30-$34/hr; with an A&P= $34-$39/hr
- Tax Free Per Diem is available to those who qualify
- Work Schedule: 5/8s (Mon-Fri) 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (at least 10hrs of OT available every week)
- Basic tools are required
- Onboarding: 10-year background check & employment, FAA/DOT drug screen.
- Interviewing: phone or virtual interviews will be requested within 24-48hrs of application submittal.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
