Police Officer
Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District
This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties and tasks related to customer service and maintaining a secure and orderly environment and protection of the Airport District. This position serves as a uniformed law enforcement representative of the District, performing all duties commensurate to this responsibility. Enforces all applicable laws, regulations and procedures, to include, issuing warnings, citations, and making arrests as required. Performs both preventive foot and vehicle patrols of Airport District facilities and grounds. Administers first aid as required. Police Officer Assignment: • Routinely assigned to police patrol shift • Performs and enforces traffic control and parking rules • Investigates crimes, accidents and suspicious activity on airport property • Prepares incident, booking, and accident reports • Assists other law enforcement agencies, writes state summons, and attends court when required • Assists general public, performs lockout, escort, and protective services as directed • Assists with enforcement of Airport Security Plan and Airport Emergency Plan requirements • Operates police vehicle on patrol, non-emergency response, emergency response, or pursuit for apprehension of suspects • Must qualify annually with duty weapon or as prescribed by approved Academy firearms instructor program. Duty weapon proficiency maintained above 80% • Performs other duties as assigned Education: • High School Diploma or GED, required; Associate's Degree or above, preferred Experience: • Two (2) years of recent law enforcement experience required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated proficiency in law enforcement job knowledge and practice • Ability to discharge firearm without undue risk to airport employees, tenants, and public, and comply with department firearm standards • Demonstrate proficient operation of police vehicle • Ability to operate emergency vehicle and vehicle radio equipment simultaneously • Maintain good customer service skills when dealing with tenants and general public • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products • Skills in prioritization, organization, verbal communications and interpersonal relations • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Successfully complete department's field training program • Valid Driver's License required • Must be certified by South Carolina Law Enforcement Training Council or meet minimum requirements for entry into South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy • Successfully complete South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy pre-hire testing including psychological profile, Police Officers Selection Test, Polygraph Exam, medical physical, drug and alcohol screening, and field training program Working Conditions: • Environment: Reactive emergency, natural or man-made disaster, and routine peace keeping environments with travel throughout District. Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risk, radiation risk, and vibration; potentially hostile environments; extensive public contact. Noise levels usually moderate but may be very loud due to sirens, firearm training, aircraft. Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, rotating shifts, holidays, and may travel outside District boundaries. Subject to recall after normal duty hours. Police Sergeant

This position serves as a supervisory law enforcement representative of the District, performing all duties commensurate with this responsibility. This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties and tasks related to customer service and maintaining a secure and orderly environment for the protection of the Airport District. Responsibilities: • Under limited supervision, patrols airport as required to oversee security activities • Supervises subordinates and relays pertinent information • Monitors and evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures • Responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive citizen inquiries and complaints • Reviews reports submitted by other police employees and ensures proper investigation • Available 24 hours a day in event of actual or potential emergency • Supervises routine arrests and booking activities • Investigates criminal offenses on the airport, attends court as required • Assists in patrols, traffic control, motor checks, and other police duties • Prepares incident reports, booking reports, accident reports, daily shift reports • Assists other law enforcement agencies as necessary • Assists general public, performs lockout, escort and protection services • Assists in enforcement of Security Plan and Airport Emergency Plan requirements • Oversees maintenance and upkeep of police vehicles and equipment • Ensures adequate coverage of shift • Verifies hours worked by subordinates and submits to Police Captain • Mentors officers under command • Other duties as assigned Education Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED required, associate's degree or higher preferred Experience Requirements: • Three (3) years of recent law enforcement experience required • Prior supervisory law enforcement experience required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, or Windows • Working knowledge of police administration and public relations • Thorough knowledge of Federal, State laws and Airport Rules and Regulations • Ability to manage and supervise others • Skills in prioritization, organization, verbal communications and interpersonal relations • Must comply with minimal physical fitness performance requirements • Operate police vehicle on patrol, emergency response, or pursuit • Ability to discharge firearm without undue risk and comply with department firearm standards • Must qualify with on and off duty weapons annually with at least 80% proficiency • Valid Driver's License required • Must maintain safe driving record with no more than two chargeable accidents or traffic offenses in past three years • Must withstand 10-year criminal background check with no disqualifying convictions • Must be certified by South Carolina Law Enforcement Training Council • Must complete South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy requirements Working Conditions: Exposed to heat, cold, rain, snow, noisy environment. Facilities Technician III - HVAC

Responsible for performing maintenance on the facilities HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) equipment and systems. Responsibilities: • Participates in safety programs and safety training with total commitment to company safety and environmental policies • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and makes corrections to ensure maximum efficiency of all HVAC equipment • Assists in maintaining chemical water treatment of chilled water and hot water systems • Assists in administration of facilities BAS (Building Automation System) • Assists in maintaining and operating low pressure steam boilers • Assists in maintaining and operating chillers, cooling towers, and chilled water systems • Maintains equipment records to document all maintenance performed and scheduled • Assists with other maintenance items not directly related to HVAC equipment • Maintains clean and orderly pre-assigned areas and workspaces • Assists with snow and ice removal activities as needed • Performs duties necessary to keep airport operating safely and efficiently • Works without direct supervision in effective and safe manner • Other duties as assigned Education Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED required • Secondary education (associates degree, military or job training) in HVAC maintenance preferred • Must illustrate desire to continue training and upgrading knowledge for changing technology Experience Requirements: • Two (2) years of experience in industrial HVAC maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training and experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Working knowledge of HVAC systems including electrical skills and troubleshooting techniques • Familiar with operations, functions and controls of HVAC and related equipment (pumps, fans, motors, starters, compressors, valves, VFD's, VAV's, DDC's, etc.) • Knowledge and experience in repair of DX systems, package units, evaporative cooling systems, air handlers, & CRAC units • Knowledge of boilers, DA systems, heat exchangers, and condensate stations • Well skilled in removal and installation of refrigerants • Proficiency in use of Refrigeration Service Manifold Gauge Set and other HVAC service tools • Capable of reasoning through problems involving simple and complex equipment • Thorough knowledge of and exercise judgment in selecting and using materials, tools, and equipment in HVAC maintenance • Capable of planning and organizing multiple tasks within reasonable time • Ability to read, understand, and apply knowledge of written information, electrical wiring diagrams, OEM manuals, schematics, mechanical drawings • Ability to understand and communicate verbally and in writing with sufficient math skills • Knowledge and experience in installation and repair of motors, VFD's, fans, bearings, filters, pumps, actuators, and DDC controls • Physically able to operate forklift and aerial man lifts • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and SharePoint • Skills in prioritization, organization, verbal communications and interpersonal relations • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • May require annual medical physical • Valid Driver's License required • Universal Certification in Refrigerant Recovery (must have or be willing to obtain) Working Conditions: Exposed to heat, cold, rain, snow, icy conditions, mechanical and electrical equipment (risk of electrical shock), flammable/toxic/caustic chemicals, heights requiring ladders and lifts. Mechanic Technician II

Responsible for maintaining inventory in the supply room and performing maintenance on airport vehicles and equipment. Police Intern

The Police Intern will receive training and gain exposure to various aspects of GSP Airport District Police Department operations, with a focus on maintaining the Victim Advocacy resource list, supporting outreach initiatives, and conducting searches and purges of police records.
