StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer . With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we’re doubling our footprint at AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs (36-100, 36-150), and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cells.
As a Turbofan Engine Mechanic at StandardAero in Augusta, GA, you will put your skills and powerplant expertise to use performing overhauls, major inspections, and heavy maintenance on Honeywell turbofan engines (TFE731, HTF7000).
What to expect in this role:
Utilize precision instruments such as micrometers, torque wrenches, and calipers to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engines and APUs
Navigate, research, and reference technical digital documents, OEM Light and Heavy Maintenance manuals.
Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on Honeywell engine types and models.
Disassembly and re-assembly of Honeywell engine types and models.
Remove and reinstall engines on aircraft for major periodic inspections and core zone inspections.
Perform incoming and outgoing engine runs and line maintenance, as required.
Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters and Airworthiness Directive.
Participate in ongoing training initiatives on and off site through partners like CAE, FlightSafety, and Honeywell.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience performing heavy maintenance on turbofan engines in an overhaul/MRO environment.
Must have a valid FAA Powerplant License required.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience inspecting, maintaining and repairing turbofan engines
Experience working on the Honeywell HTF7000 and/or TFE731 engine lines.
Valid FAA Airframe License (Licensed A&P Mechanic)
Technical training on corporate aircraft and engines in the areas of inspections, maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, and repairs.
Previous experience locating and applying FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, Orders, and Notices.
