*Chief Inspector Job Description* *Dean Baldwin Painting – Macon, GA facility* For over 60 years Dean Baldwin Painting, LP. has provided our customers quality paint services and reliable schedule performance. Our company has continued to grow and prosper throughout these years with current facilities located in Roswell, NM, Peru, IN and now Macon, GA. We also provide paint support to MROs in San Antonio, TX and Goodyear, AZ. The newly built Macon, Georgia facility was opened in 2022 and is located 10 miles from Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA. This superior aircraft painting facility has four temperature controlled bays and is capable of processing over 175 to 200 aircraft per year. The facility serves virtually all sectors of the aviation industry including: Commercial Aircraft Painting, Military Aircraft Painting, VIP Corporate - Airbus and Regional Aircraft Painting. The facility operates 24/7. *General Summary* The Chief Inspector (CI) serves as FAA Accountable Manager for the Repair Station, ensuring compliance of all Federal, State, and other regulatory directives and guidance, as it relates to airworthiness at the Repair Station. CI manages the Quality Assurance department and is responsible for all Quality Control, Inspection, and Maintenance Training content. Ensures technical data is adequate to satisfy company objectives, management directives and FAA regulations to assure continued airworthiness of articles serviced at the Repair Station. *Specific Duties and Responsibilities* * Plans, organizes staffs, controls and directs the Quality Assurance Department * Promotes aviation safety by ensuring airworthy and quality aircraft maintenance and serves as liaison between FAA and Repair Station * Develops and maintains approved FAA accepted Repair Station/Quality Control Manual (RSM/QCM) * Assures all FAA, other federal regulations, and state and local laws are adhered to, as applicable * Develops and administers the company’s quality systems. * Develops strategic plans for continuous improvement of quality * Administers Vendor Audit Programs * Provides for the requirements of The Training Program including recordkeeping requirements * Serves as Quality Management System, Management Representative who has the authority to: * Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are establish, implemented, and maintained * Reports on the performance of the quality management system to top management for review of its effectiveness and as a basis for improvement of the quality system. * Responsible for the Corrective Action Program, designed to detect a nonconformance or undesirable condition, correct it and prevent its recurrence. * Responsible for approval, addition and/or deletion of Services and material supplier vendors. May delegate to Materials Manager but retains responsibility. * Controls Inspector/Production/Training Stamp program and maintains the Repair Station rosters * Determines criteria used for Repairman Eligibility, such as testing, performance evaluations etc. * Recommends qualified individuals for Repairman’s Certificate. * Maintains Summaries of Employment for all management, inspection and certificated personnel * Monitors performance and attendance of Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel. * Prepares and conducts performance evaluations, recommends personnel action, including salary recommendations, per company policy for assigned personnel. * Ensures that employee assigned to perform each task have documented training * Is final authority for returning aircraft to service after strip, paint, flight control installation and balance, weight check requirements and other processes authorized on the Repair Station’s Op Spec * Ensures Corrective/Preventive Actions relating to his/her assigned processes and procedure, are initiated and/or completed in a timely manner as required by the Quality Management System. * May delegate authority, but retains responsibility *Requirements* * A/P Certified (current) * 5 years Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control experience * 10 years aircraft mechanic experience preferred on regional and large commercial type aircraft * _*Proven leadership skills and operations experience with line and or heavy maintenance programs*_ * Computer skills and ability to manage/update company manuals as required. As an Operations Supervisor, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day. • Supervising assigned aircraft maintenance employees. • Responsibility for the daily and overall operations of the aircraft maintenance department - to include: safety, schedules, personnel and quality. • Encourage and promote a safe work environment by supervising a safety/security program which includes operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, 5S, general housekeeping and lean manufacturing. • Responsible for coordinating unscheduled aircraft maintenance and work performed at a location other than the Repair stations fixed location. • Supervise the performance of maintenance and ensure work is performed in accordance with Repair Station / Quality Manual, Site Operating Procedures and FARs. • Ensure regular established safety/security audits are conducted and discrepancies are addressed. • Oversee and manage the resources to maximize productivity and minimize DOI. • As required, submit requests for engineering support (RED's, RFE's, SRPSA's and installs) in direct support of operations for all product lines. • May be required to act on behalf of Customer Project Manager during absence. • May be required to support UMT, including, for example, coordination of tooling and parts, scheduling personnel, and aircraft return-to-service. • Administer team related policies & procedures. • Coordinate technical shop floor issues, such as engineering, specialized tooling requirements, etc. • Perform supervisory responsibilities for assigned employees and area(s) for but not limited to: • Time keeping; ensure employee hours are accurate and track attendance. • Approve timecards, employee leave and vacation requests. • Performance management program and 30/60/90-day reviews • Opportunity for professional development and training • Personnel decisions around hiring, disciplinary issues, salary adjustments • Facilitate DMM meetings with all departments & shops. • Monitor housing and facilities for compliance with 14 CFR 145.103 and report any insufficiency. • Identify and communicate best practices & champion continuous improvement initiatives. Here’s what is required to succeed as an Operations Supervisor. • Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance. • Minimum of 2 years leadership / supervisory / lead experience – preferably within aircraft maintenance. • Possess an A&P license or otherwise appropriately certificated under FAR part 65. • Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example: part 91, 121, 135, and 145 • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs for jet aircraft • Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace, safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations. • Customer service mindset and approach with communications (verbal & written) and when needing to defuse situations with internal and external customers. • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills; able to develop people / team. • You have planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting. • Intermediate PC computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based applications used to manage the maintenance work. • Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. • Experience in project management is preferred. • Working knowledge of ISO/OHSAS management system and resources is preferred. • Enjoy working on commercial aircraft, growing professionally and being part of a team passionate about CRJs. • Must be comfortable with shift work; we are a 24/7 operation with 12-hour shifts which include days, nights, and weekends. Job Overview GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general direction of the SkyLink Assistant Manager, controls all aspects of the operation of the SkyLink automated people mover (APM) system via computer console, electronic monitors, power distribution and radio and telecommunications systems. Work requires technical expertise that involves analysis of overall system performance and service level requirements. Controls primary, secure, ground transportation to airline, TSA, concessionaire employees and the traveling public between terminals. Controls SkyLink APM system in response to real or potential emergencies. Uses independent judgment to provide customer service support to the public on the SkyLink APM system and in the stations, through real time operation of the system by effective communications, maintenance of balanced headway and effective utilization of emergency and failure management strategies. Determines the best course of action to provide the highest level of service with available resources and provides any other support, which affects or could affect customer service, safety and airport security. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyzes real time information and controls overall SkyLink operation by correcting or circumventing problems through computer command keyboard input and/or by directing and dispatching maintenance personnel in response to operational needs. Analyzes all available data to determine need and declares state of alert or emergency, closes or restores the SkyLink system and briefs applicable Airport Board, SkyLink maintenance and airline personnel on the status of the system. Directs response personnel during abnormal or emergency operations in a life safety environment to appropriate locations. Analyzes and directs transportation service levels, adjusts SkyLink route loading to meet demand of schedule, airline forecast or real time observation; analyzes service impact, then directs and implements alternative service modes. Maintains Airport security by implementing Breach of Security violation plan in compliance with Airport Board, TSA and Section Policies and Procedures. Directs Department of Public Safety (DPS) personnel to life-safety emergency locations, or for Skylink security issues. Assimilates and disseminates weather information critical to the safety and operation of the SkyLink system and declares SkyLink weather alerts and emergencies. Takes part in training, re-training, and examinations of themselves and other employees as required by the Control Center qualification program. Assists with the investigation of accidents, incidents, events and passenger inconveniences, and assists to resolve system user complaints of passengers and tenants; assists the traveling public through various customer service functions. Maintains a complete log of all SkyLink significant events. Represents the Skylink Assistant Manager as needed or directed. Implements and or coordinates the safe and efficient execution of work through use of work permits, occupancy permits and clearances in accordance with existing rules and procedures. Takes part in training, re-training and examinations as required by the Operations Center qualification program. Through interaction with the communications and CCTV systems, monitors platforms, stations, intrusion alarms, customer activity and any other system that affects customer service and security. Periodically observes in-system vehicle performance, cleanliness, condition of platform stations, etc., to enhance knowledge of system operation. Assists the Environmental Affairs Department in performing field observations of Airport activities with respect to potential environmental issues and notifies the Environmental Affairs Department of any observations that may have environmental impact. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent. Three (3) years of experience with console control systems in a real-time environment. Examples may include (but are not limited to) Airport Operations Centers, Rail, Public Transit or Public Safety dispatch or Government/Military operations facilities. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above. Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of an automated train control system, its operation, its electronic reporting system, propulsion power distribution and probable system malfunctions and is able to perform these tasks in a real time environment. Job Overview Under general supervision of the Parking Command Center Shift Supervisor, the Communication Specialist monitors the parking control system, communication and CCTV activities The Communication Specialist remotely authorizes parking fee adjustments, database corrections and control of parking revenue gates. This position communicates extensively with internal and external partners and Airport guests via computer, telephone, two-way radio or intercom. Provides clarification or instruction to Guest Services Agents and agents in the field on issues that are operationally critical. Performs clerical functions as deemed appropriate by the supervisor. Monitors various systems related to the Parking Business Unit to ensure continued safe and efficient operations. What you will be doing: Makes decisions in regard to adjustment of parking fees based on departmental protocol within level of authority.
