Summary Perform Test Technician/Engineering duties during preliminary/critical design, Hardware/Software Integration (H.S.I.), and customer acceptance phases of a program. Provide technical/system support for assigned devices. Provide lab maintenance/engineering support during program Hardware/Software Integration (HSI). Able to diagnose and troubleshoot network/computer systems. Must be able to apply fundamental troubleshooting procedures in the maintenance of interfaces and peripheral equipment used with computers; interpret mechanical, hydraulic, electric motion module, electrical and electronic schematics and drawings and make simplified versions. Must be able to perform calibrations, adjustments, and tests on electronic equipment; analyze operation, verify discrepancies, isolate malfunctions, and replace defective components used in electronic devices; test and repair linear computing elements, phase inverters and operational amplifiers. Able to read and interpret various technical documents. Identify and generate documentation to correct hardware deficiencies and test discrepancies. Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to collaborate with engineering team to accomplish any required system redesign tasks. Proficient working with Windows based computer systems. Assist manufacturing during tear down, pack, and ship activities. Support manufacturing during final assembly phase of site installations. Perform device power up and hardware checkout at both component and system level. Maintain operational device readiness during all testing activities. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associate degree in a technically related field or equivalent 2-4 years’ experience in a related field with a minimum of 2 years in a simulator manufacturing environment. Possess good written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to make effective verbal and written presentations on technical topics to supervisor and peers. Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance Must have the ability to obtain a US Passport Able to perform extensive travel. Provide training to other team members of the department. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Able to perform shift and weekend work when required. Preferred Skills Previous experience with simulation Previous electronic systems maintenance experience Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Will be working in areas with the risk of electrical shock, near moving mechanical parts driven by hydraulics under high pressure and in high precarious places. Will, at times, be exposed to the following environmental conditions: extreme cold or heat, outdoor weather, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noises. Must be familiar on the use of PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Will occasionally have to move items over 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to see clearly at close range. Must have color vision. Under the direction of the Horticulture Team Leader (HTL), the Flight Controller will monitor grow room environmental and equipment-functionality variables using both software and visual/physical methods. The FC will be the “eyes in the sky” for the smooth and successful running of the growing operation and all related machinery from seeding to harvest. This includes directly operating and interfacing with equipment and troubleshooting during active production. The successful candidate will have superb attention to detail, must be an excellent communicator, and will be comfortable using computers and collecting organized data. The Flight Controller (FC) will make sure he/she will always contribute to comply with safety and quality rules on the Company, to finish tasks promptly, to be always on top of communicated priorities, to collaborate to create and keep a positive work environment, and that he/she is effectively scouting, reporting and fixing things on the towers. The Flight Controller (FC) should be able to operate with minimal supervision and always ask questions, tell the truth, and express feelings. You Will: Comply with Safety rules. You Have (REQUIRED): Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency required – basic Excel. High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong communication skills. (Communication skills both verbally and in writing) Reliable attendance. Experience with food safety and HACCP protocols desired. Positive, respectful attitude. Must be detail-oriented and organized. Basic math skills. Proficient in spoken and written English. Able to operate and calibrate scales, calipers, EC/pH meter, HMI, and tablet (training provided). Able to stand and walk for long periods. Able to lift/carry items up to 35 pounds. Able to drive scissor lift and access plants 35 feet in the air after training. A high to a very high degree of concentration is required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to ensure minimum interruption to the process. At least 2 years of experience in strategy, planning, forecasting, continuous improvement, or maintenance/aircraft scheduling. Proficiency in data analysis and quantitative modeling techniques (e.g., statistical analysis, optimization, simulation). Strong project management and prioritization skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels, including executives. Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
