Summary
As a Quality Assurance Manager/Chief Inspector at Jet Aircraft Maintenance, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with FAA and DOT regulations. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our services and products, contributing directly to our mission of delivering safe and reliable aircraft maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that maintenance, preventive maintenance and/or alterations are properly performed on all work performed by repair station and that all forms and records used by the repair station are properly executed prior to releasing aircraft for return to service.
- Maintain and keep current file of pertinent FAA guidance, Advisory Circulars (ACs), EASA and TCCA regulations, and ensures Station Supervisors maintain technical customer technical publications including Airworthiness Directives (Ads) applicable to the maintenance performed.
- Assure that Station Supervisors are knowledgeable of critical elements of the air carrier customer’s maintenance programs, including technical publications, contact numbers and training requirements, etc.
- Ensure reports of Identification of Un-Airworthy Conditions are captured as required by the FAA. EASA, TCCA, the customers and customer’s NAA.
- Accurately maintain required rosters.
- Develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve the repair station’s SMS Program.
- Publish Findings Reviews in accordance with repair station QAS/SMS and to investigate customer inquiries.
- Must be familiar with applicable regulations in 14 CFR 145 and with inspections methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, or altering are being performed; and
- Maintain proficiency in using various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspected and be able to properly identify defects.
- Perform and attend internal and external audits. Report defects for Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports.
- Have available and understand all applicable and current tolerances and procedures.
- Any other responsibilities as delegated or required to ensure Repair Station quality is maintained.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Must be able to understand, read and write English.
- Able to read and interpret technical data.
- Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
- Must have experience and/or is familiar with research of aircraft historical records and logbooks.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance or inspection within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for identifying issues.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Experience in conducting quality audits is a plus.
- Must be certificated under US 14 CFR Part 65.
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and organized.
- 3. 5 or more years work experience at a 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station.
