RS SC Supervisor - Weekend Nights in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: 5th shift/weekends nights. Applicant may be assigned to any service center hangar(s) based on experience and business need Education and Experience Requirements Associate's Degree in aviation maintenance or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 6 years aviation maintenance experience to include in-service maintenance experience on large or mid-size cabin aircraft. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Position Purpose: Assist the Service Team Managers/Team Leads in planning, coordinating and supervising the activities performed on Service Center aircraft. Provide direction to customers and Gulfstream personnel involved in accomplishing aircraft maintenance repairs in a timely and efficient manner while satisfying customer requirements and FAA regulations. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Assist the Service Team Manager with planning, scheduling, organizing, coordinating and supervising maintenance work and labor hours in order to meet the Service Center master schedule. Coordinate with support departments to ensure that materials and equipment are available for the department. Provide status reports and progress schedules to manager . Facilitate a continuous safety/security program to include operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, 5S, general housekeeping and lean manufacturing principles. Ensure that regular established safety/security audits are conducted and discrepancies are addressed . Instruct assigned subordinates in the efficient and effective use of company resources, work methods and procedures in order to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines. Administer corporate and personnel policies and procedures . Assist the Operations Manager and/or Service Team Manager in determining the manpower and equipment needed to meet the Service Center master schedule with the highest quality on assigned work tasks . Establish and distribute production schedules consistent with customer requirements. Ensure that parts are ordered for timely delivery per aircraft schedules and coordinate/monitor inventory levels . Ensure timely completion and coordination of maintenance projects with the Service Team Manager in compliance with FAA specifications for the hangar operations managers . Maintain a current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes (ASCs), Customers Bulletins (CBs), inspection schedule requirements, vendor information and all other procedures, publications and general knowledge pertaining to Gulfstream aircraft maintenance and servicing . Additional Functions: Provide specialized technical assistance to team members as needed . Assist Service Team Manager in meetings with customer representatives to discuss progress of work and problems as required. . If required, resolve warranty claim issues with Aircraft/Engine/APU manufactures/vendors . May review, track and correct discrepancies for entire work scope for accuracy of requirements per customer, Gulfstream and FAA specifications . Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: Must have demonstrated leadership ability, high degree of integrity and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to interact effectively with internal and external customers to support various projects and assist in troubleshooting aircraft systems as requested. Responsible for marshalling aircraft in and out of gate, loading, unloading and sorting baggage. Also responsible for cleaning the aircraft, restocking items, de-icing aircraft, carrying out inspections, hazard checks. Operate ramp equipment such as stairs and bridges.
