Job overview and responsibilities Assist Accountable Manager with the management of United Airlines repair station operations, including supervising United personnel when they are exercising the repair station certificate UALR011A to ensure personnel comply with applicable regulations and the repair station manual and repair station procedures. Assists the Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) MRA Airworthiness Administrator in supervising ODA UMs and coordinating authorized functions and interfacing with Unit Members. Quality control base maintenance regulatory compliance and safety management systems representative. · Supervises and maintains oversight and delegation of personnel authorized for accomplishing ODA airworthiness functions including aging aircraft inspections · Perform ODA functions they are authorized to accomplish · Develop manual revisions to the ODA manual as necessary · Oversee the training and authorization of FAA authorize CFR part 145 line and base maintenance stations and activities · Develop manual revision to the repair station manual and its related supplements as necessary · Responsible for maintenance quality for any maintenance action performed under the repair station certificate · Member of quality control base maintenance regulatory compliance and safety management systems as team representative · Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship · Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification · Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position Qualifications What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): · Associate degree or 2 years of relevant work experience · 5+ years experience in heavy aircraft maintenance · FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate · Must meet all training requirements for the delegated airworthiness functions authorized to the United ODA · Have experience as FAA authorized certificated staff · Thorough understanding of FAA 14 CFR to include part 121, 145 and 183 · Root cause analysis tools and proven skills in collaboration · Excellent verbal and written communication skills What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): · Bachelor's degree or equivalent in aviation management, engineering field · 10 years experience as FAA certificated staff or FAA designee · Current or previous CFR part 183 delegated authority, or certificating staff or management of certified staff of a FAA certificated air carrier or repair station The base pay range for this role is $127,304.62 to $155,594.53. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree in related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years of airworthiness experience with in any of the following areas 14CFR Parts 23, 25, 27, 29, 33 and/or Parts 91, 121,125,135,145 or 4 years of military aviation maintenance experience. Position Purpose: Under general supervision, performs final work order audit/review for discrepancies in completeness and accuracy of data. Communicates findings to Quality Inspection Supervisors and assists subordinates in the general and technical aspects of Quality Control to ensure aircraft airworthiness is maintained in a timely and efficient manner. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Prepares and schedules aircraft documentation with the Office Staff and Inspection team. Reviews all documents and work orders prior to return to service of the aircraft and ensures aircraft returns to service in accordance with current FARs and company policy . Develops and implements documents for QC utilization. Maintains documents for the Quality Control department . Coordinates new STCs, Aircraft Flight Manual Supplements and FAA Form 337 field approval of avionics and mechanical installations with Engineering Certification group and the FAA . Assists with the activity of Special Flight Permits, Standard Airworthiness certificates, Export certificates, etc . Focal point for the Inspection team. Provides technical data for CMP, Engineering, Technical Services, Avionics and other Service Center oriented departments . Focal point for customers after departure for questions pertaining to the work scope of the maintenance visit on compliance, research, and documentation. Assists customers with all activities relating to previous and present maintenance performed on aircraft . Additional Functions: Researches for compliance from past history and problem solves shortages on documentation . Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: Requires accuracy and attention to detail. Must possess strong analytical ability. Technical knowledge of aircraft theory, inspection processes and procedure requirements and how they integrate with aircraft records. General knowledge of aircraft logbooks and maintenance entries including proper aircraft work order documentation. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Experience with foreign authority documentation desirable/not required.
