Join Our Team as a Reclamations Lead! Are you a detail-driven professional with 3–5 years of aircraft maintenance experience? Do you take pride in precision, teamwork, and leadership? We’re looking for a Reclamations Lead to guide our team in the careful and accurate removal of aircraft parts. In this role, you’ll lead by example, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Essential Job Functions: Support the safe and accurate removal of aircraft components in compliance with FAA and company standards Provide technical expertise while performing hands-on aircraft maintenance Lead and coordinate a team of mechanics and technicians in a fast-paced environment Promote a culture of operational excellence and team collaboration Ensure all maintenance work complies with FAA regulations, technical data, and company procedures. Communicate regularly with supervisors and Production Control to report progress and resolve issues. Review maintenance documents to determine repair/replacement needs and provide estimates. Accurately document and tag all removed aircraft parts, ensuring traceability and proper routing. Sign work cards and forms in accordance with the Repair Station Manual. Perform structural repairs and component replacements on aircraft, including wings, fuselage, hydraulics, and plumbing. Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to guide repair methods. Inspect engine and aircraft components for wear, damage, and serviceability. Reassemble, reinstall, and test engines and electrical systems after repairs or replacements. Conduct general servicing tasks such as cleaning, greasing, flushing, and brake checks. Lead and train team members; document training and support skills development. Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards within the team. Assign tasks, coordinate team workflow, and support a collaborative work environment. Track labor time and support use of visibility boards or job tracking tools. Support continuous improvement efforts and act as backup to the A&P Supervisor as needed. Qualifications: Required High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid U.S. driver’s license required. Must have a clear driving record for the past three years. Ability to plan, organize, and manage work to meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and basic mathematical skills. Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English. Able to follow and administer verbal and written instructions. Skilled in interpreting and applying technical data relevant to aircraft maintenance. Ability to safely drive and operate standard-shift vehicles and applicable shop equipment. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Post-secondary education or training in aircraft maintenance preferred. 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance. May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations based on business needs. WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing and reaching above shoulder level. Requires occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50lbs unassisted. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Equipment Operated: Aircraft ground servicing equipment including tugs, tractors, hi-lifts, trucks, servicing carts and test equipment, hand tools, power tools, shears, sheet metal brakes, rivet guns, drills. Work Location: Aircraft Reclamations Area Protective Equipment Required: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses, breathing equipment. Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets; working on unprotected heights or around moving machinery. SMS REQUIREMENTS Manager & Supervisors with the overall responsibility for the financial, safety, quality and employee performance of their operation is the person who ensures Ascent Aviation’s policies and procedures are complied with and ensures Federal, State, and local laws, ordinances and rules are equally enforced and adhered to. The Managers / Supervisors will be responsible to ensure that all required routine performance audits are complied with and are conducted and reported within the specified timeframe. The Managers/Supervisors/Leads shall ensure all corrective action is complied with and maintained in accordance with the agreed plan. Duties not listed within the position description may be required of the employee at the discretion of the department management. Job functions may vary due to irregular working conditions or multiple shift positions.
