Responsible for directing daily workflow, reviewing completed work orders, and inspecting Mechanics work. Assists in instructing mechanics on work procedures. Inspecting and identifying defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems and preforms preventive maintenance and/or repairs. Hourly Rate: 24/hr Main accountabilities include Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems Monitors storage tanks and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination. Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures Makes required log entries QC, maintenance and completes required documentation and performs data entry Maintain records relating to maintenance Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures Determines the need and extent of repair work required based on operators reports and testing equipment Preforms preventive maintenance and/or repairs Performs maintenance calls on in service equipment Repairs and/or replaces parts on equipment during PMI Coordinates functions and schedule related to production, and PMI completion Communicates with the operation concerning equipment operation Maintains, orders and schedules tire replacement Reviews completed work orders Inspects and approves Mechanics work Assists in instructing mechanics on work procedures and assists in the training of mechanics Directs daily workflow Able to perform all duties performed by GSE mechanics Basic, advanced, and general troubleshooting Use and interpret diagnostic equipment Ensure that all vehicles can pass the appropriate safety inspections Welding and fabrication Cleans shop and work area Comply with the station’s attendance/tardiness standards Other duties as assigned Safety, Security and Compliance All employees have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to: Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions whilst at work. Qualifications and Experience Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license Must pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug test Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English Ability to perform basic math calculations Must be computer literate Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require lifting and move up to 70lbs Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to learn quickly Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to build relationships Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. You will be responsible for accomplishing maintenance of all ground support and associated equipment to sustain aircraft maintenance operations necessary to meet all USAF E-11A mission requirements from its CONUS base location. Specific duties: 1. Conduct all ground support equipment [GSE] for a fleet of Bombardier USAF E-11A [Bombardier BD-700 commercial derivative aircraft (CDA)] fleet. 2. Conduct progressive maintenance & inspections on ground support equipment providing a maximum amount of GSE to the flight line and minimize aircraft downtime 3. Execute maintenance/upkeep, inventory, trouble shooting of all deployed GSE to include Ground Power Units, special purpose vehicles, aircraft stands, scissor/general lifts, aircraft jacks/tail stands, hydraulic servicing, generators, and other assigned equipment 4. Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment of various ground support equipment systems in accordance with technical specifications and or engineering instructions 5. Conduct calibrations on aircraft jacks and other assigned GSE as necessary to meet mission requirements 6. Conduct diagnosis of malfunctions, including all electrical & mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation & repair, parts replacement, line repairable unit (LRU) replacement, calibration tasks, testing, engine repairs and/or replacements & proper documentation 7. Use technical data to diagnose & solve maintenance problems on GSE, coordinating with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) when necessary to ensure fully operational equipment 8. Maintain status of inspections and maintenance in CORRIDOR database inventory tool Basic Qualifications: 1. High School diploma AND a minimum of 6 years aircraft Ground Support Equipment experience. 2. Must be a US citizen 3. A current DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain one quickly. 4.
