Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Associate or Experienced Flight Readiness Technician (Level B or C) to support the 787 Program Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center Operations Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift! This position will provide critical production support to the Delivery Center including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality. Qualified candidates will perform routine final component installation and verification, as well as, systems operational functional validation testing. Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Primary Responsibilities: Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing. Assists in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and assists in repairing faulty components. Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions. Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products. Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection. Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery. Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives. Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Exhibits Boeing Behaviors. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Ability to work a variable shift. 6 months of avionics and/or electrical experience. 6 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations. 6 months experience/knowledge with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. FAA Airframe & Powerplant license. 6 months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience. 6 months of 787 Program experience. Familiar with Boeing Production System. 6 months experience with Field/Flight Line Operations.
