Performs aircraft corrosion control procedures to include wash, wipe down, polish and vacuum. Operates GSE, flight line vehicles and other support equipment as required. Drives tugs for the purpose of towing equipment and aircraft. Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft forms and VIDS/MAF System. Orders aircraft/equipment parts. Performs vehicle services, including engine flush/cleaning, parts lubrication, and maintenance checks. Recommends revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship. Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years’ actual and recent aircraft, vehicle or missile, or related weapon system experience required; five (5) years desired. Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft, missile, or wheeled and tracked vehicle maintenance mandatory. Aircraft storage inductions, storage checks and return to service. • This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to submit to pre-employment and periodic DOT regulations for drug and alcohol testing. • Perform all work assigned in accordance with approved FAA data. • Ensure complete and proper documentation of work performed. • Ensure that all maintenance performed is in an air worthy condition. • Maintains the premises and the repair station in a clean and organized manner. • Performs additional duties as requested by supervisor or other management personnel. Education and Experience: • Corporate aircraft experience preferred but commercial, general, or military aircraft will be considered. • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials, and a urinary pre-employment test for drugs as per DOT regulations. • H.S. diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Skills and Abilities: • Must be flexible to work any shift. • Attention to detail is imperative. • Must be able to multi-task. • Must be efficient with a desire to succeed. • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands. • Normal or corrected vision and hearing are required. • Subject to continual loud noise.
