As an Aircraft Assembly Associate, you will be an integral part of our aircraft manufacturing team, responsible for the assembly and integration of aircraft components and systems. Your attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and commitment to quality are essential in ensuring the successful production of aircraft that meet regulatory and customer specifications. What you will do: Component Assembly Assemble aircraft components, such as wings, fuselage sections, landing gear, and control surfaces, according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Install and secure fasteners, brackets, wiring harnesses, and other components as required. System Integration Integrate and connect aircraft systems, including avionics, hydraulics, electrical, and fuel systems, ensuring proper functionality. Conduct functional tests and inspections to verify system performance and safety. Quality Assurance Perform quality checks and inspections at various stages of assembly to identify and rectify defects or discrepancies. Maintain detailed records of inspections and assembly processes. Safety and Compliance Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with aviation regulations and company procedures. Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety awareness. Tool and Equipment Operation Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks accurately and efficiently. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly. Collaboration Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, inspectors, and supervisors, to resolve assembly issues and improve processes. Communicate effectively within the team to ensure the smooth flow of work. Also, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by management or as necessary to meet the organization's needs. What we are looking for: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship. Knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and assembly techniques. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Physical fitness and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy components. Willingness to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with changing priorities and schedules. Preferred: Technical training in aircraft assembly is a plus. Previous experience in aircraft assembly or a related manufacturing field is preferred. Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety practices. Experienced Aircraft Production Technician - Field Representative

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring an Experienced Aircraft Production Technician (JE) Field Representative (Level D) to join our Supply Chain BSC Vendor Assist Field team, supporting the Delivery Center and Decorative Paint Facility. You will be located in North Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will work directly with on-site suppliers to support flight line milestones including flights, ticketing and delivery of 787 aircraft. You will also communicate across multi-functions to report status and monitor suppliers' performance to plan. Position Responsibilities: Participates with on-site supplier to perform product troubleshooting and performs JITT to identify potential issues, provide solutions and assist with clearing nonconformances and customer concerns Leads and completes advanced rework and resolves high-risk non-conformances with minimal work instructions and oversight. Investigates complex product defects and plans and organizes removal and restoration processes with various suppliers and on-site resources Collaboration with others; communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improve existing processes Provides direct support to suppliers with troubleshooting IFE systems Completes retest of supplier seats, galleys and lavatories.
