We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Engine Inspector, with a strong background in maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshooting and inspection of PT6A Series engines. This role involves day-to-day decisions of airworthiness, directing and orienting Inspectors to execute their work in accordance with procedures and guaranteeing compliance with FAA regulations. They are also responsible for ensuring critical aviation safety standards are adhered to by maintenance personnel. This position is a DOT Drug & Alcohol compliance position. Duties: • Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing maintenance, modification or repairs and overhaul of aircraft engines to ensure adherence to standards and procedures. • Prepare and maintain detailed repair, inspection, investigation, and certification records and reports. • Inspect aircraft engines to identify damage or defects and assess airworthiness and conformance to standards, using the appropriate checklists, hand tools and test instruments. • Ensure that all technicians/mechanics are properly trained, and training records are being maintained. • Review maintenance records to ensure servicing was/is performed at necessary intervals. • Oversight of all facility safety protocols, procedures, training and certifications. • Completion of engine reports after every inspection which includes review or borescopes, trend data oil analysis, and vibration analysis. • Release of aircraft engines to service on a timely basis after ensuring that all work has been properly completed, documented and signed off. • Overseeing the proper handling of all parts and components through the inspection process per our manual and company policies • Providing continuity of inspection responsibility and assuring completion of required inspections with personnel shift or assignment changes. • Ensuring Repair Station compliance per CASE 1A Standard and applicable FAR’s • Responsible for maintaining the Record Keeping system • Managing the calibration of all repair station precision test equipment • This position is also responsible for, with authority, following ISO procedures, initiating action to prevent problems, document quality problems, contribute to problem solutions, verify implementation of solutions, control further processing when a problem is identified. The LUH72 Aircraft Technical Inspector is responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained within required specifications and are airworthy before operation. Inspects repairs and modification of aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty. Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections. Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Evaluates personnel, including verification of skills, training and experience. Performs audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities. Initiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports, ensuring that they are accurate, clear, concise and comprehensive. Conducts safety inspections, training, and drills. Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies. Briefs and debriefs pilots and crew members assigned to functional check flights. Participates in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required. Ensures compliance with aircraft configuration control, Army oil analysis Program and test measuring diagnostic equipment calibration. Provides lower level technicians guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts. Prepares evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance repair and related activities. Make entries in aircraft logs and records. Perform other qualified duties as requested. Minimum Requirements Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience. One (1) year experience inspecting MDS (LUH-72) assigned. A valid and up-to-date (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. A Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA). If no IA, shall have a minimum of five (5) years as an inspector on the MDS (LUH-72) assigned. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems or other technology as applicable to fabrication, repair, operation and maintenance requirements. Efficient in record keeping and preparation of reports; capable of reviewing other people's work and determining accuracy and conformity to standards. Proficient in the use of the Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation Enhanced (ULLS-AE), the current maintenance management system utilized to maintain Army aircraft forms and records. Thorough comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components. Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. Detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required. Ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers. Excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule. Physical Requirements/Working Environment Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day. Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands. Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders. Position: Chief Inspector, PART 145 Job Summary: Seeking a highly skilled aviation professional responsible for overseeing all inspection activities within a maintenance facility certified under FAA Part 145 regulations, ensuring all aircraft repairs and alterations meet stringent safety standards by supervising inspectors, managing quality control procedures, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and manufacturer specifications: acting as the primary quality control authority within the repair station. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday. The operational needs of the organization may necessitate working after hours, weekends or holidays. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Ensure all repair activities adhere to FAA Part 145 regulations, manufacturer's maintenance manuals, and internal quality control procedures.
