Overview Joby Aviation is looking for talented mechanics, technicians, and fabricators to join our Final Integration and Assembly team. In this role, you will be trained to assemble all the parts, components, harnesses, avionics, interiors, landing gear and systems into the final aircraft needed to prepare it for flight. In this role, you will be responsible for performing composite layup operations to manufacture high-quality composite parts. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in pre-preg ply placement on open face tooling, ply orientation and material consolidation techniques. Additionally, proficiency in performing vacuum bagging, debulking and knowledge of curing operations are necessary for this role. Responsibilities Perform tooling prep operations in preparation for lamination. Prepare and organize composite materials in preparation for lamination. Apply composite materials onto molds or tooling surfaces using techniques like hand layup or automated processes. Ensure proper ply orientation, ply thickness, and material consolidation is achieved. Proficiency in vacuum bagging techniques for composite layup operations. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Basic use of computers for documentation and record-keeping purposes. Able to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions. Required High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Work Shift Monday-Friday 7AM-530PM.
