Purpose and Scope: This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures' manuals. Essential Responsibilities: Services, repairs and overhaul equipment and engines. Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds equipment and engine components, fuel systems (including cells, tanks and fuel/metering control systems), and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Inspects and repairs power plants (engines) malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc. Diagnoses malfunctions, isolate causes and correct breaks. Test engine operations, using testing equipment to locate source of malfunction. Replaces and repairs damaged components, uses hand tools, gauges, and tests equipment. Removes engine and major components from equipment, using hoist or other lifting devices. Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects. Repairs and replaces defective engine components and reassemble and install engine on weapon systems and vehicles. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces instruments, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and accessories. Performs vehicle services, including engine flush/cleaning, parts lubrication, and maintenance checks. May service engine components operations making repairs and overhaul, required to ensure safe operating condition. May specialize in repair and modification of engines, structural components, precision repair, functional spare parts, and assemblies. Recommends revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship. Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years’ actual and recent aircraft, vehicle or missile, or related weapon system experience required; five (5) years desired. Thorough knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft, missile, or wheeled and tracked vehicle maintenance mandatory. Must have knowledge of the scope and limitation of various categories of maintenance and their application to the contract unit. Must know theory and principles of engine operations; accessories and components; theory of flight; rigging of flight controls; electrical and electronic; pneudraulic; and mechanical principles. Knowledge of sheet metal, properties of materials, fuels, and oils required. Read, interpret and use manufacturers and aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, wiring/schematic diagrams, data tables and other specifications to determine feasibility and method to repair or replace malfunctioning or damaged components. Must be able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle. Amentum is seeking a Site Manger to work at HSM-40 Mayport, FL. The Site Manager is responsible for the control and conduct of all Organizational Level Maintenance Support on H-60 Aircraft, administrative, logistics, quality, financial and safety operations at the site and is to ensure all contractual requirements are met or exceeded while meeting or exceeding budget goals. Must be customer oriented. Shall act as overall manager and administrator for contract efforts at his/her site. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements are met at the respective site. Summary: Meets all requirements and performs all duties and responsibilities of a Functional Check Civilian Aircrewman. Performs in-flight duties and assists the Maintenance Test Pilots, consistent with established Naval and Force and Company standards depending on assignment. Purpose and Scope: The Aircraft Survival Flight Equipment Technician manages, performs, and schedules inspections, maintenance, and adjustments of assigned aircrew flight equipment (AFE), associated supplies, and inventories assets. Essential Responsibilities: Inspects, maintains, packs and adjusts aircrew flight equipment such as flight helmets, oxygens masks, parachutes, flotation devices, survival kits, helmet mounted devices, aircrew night vision and other ocular systems, anti-G garments, aircrew eye and respiratory protective equipment, chemical biological protective oxygen masks and coveralls, and other types of AFE and aircrew chemical defense systems. Repairs fabric and rubber components, including protective clothing, thermal radiation barriers, flotation equipment, and various parachutes. Evaluates problems and determines feasibility of repair or replacement related to inspecting and repairing fabric, rubber equipment, and parachutes. Evaluates work orders for fabrication of authorized items. Operational and circuit checks for emergency signaling and communication devices such as survival radios and beacons. Housekeeping of all areas of work including shop; participate in FOD program. Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years of actual and recent O or I level H-60S/R/F/H Aircraft Maintenance experience is required or equivalent rotary aircraft experience. Requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance procedures, pyrotechnic and explosive devices, and aircraft egress systems. Detailed knowledge of the operation and characteristics of aircraft survival flight equipment and the ability to demonstrate and explain proper usage and operation of the equipment. Purpose and Scope: Perform aviation maintenance administration requirements in support of the activity’s assigned aircraft, engines, ALSS, support equipment and flight designated personnel. Essential Responsibilities: Maintain aircraft and engine logbooks and associated records. Perform operator, data entry and retrieval functions associated with aircraft recordkeeping. Perform networking functions between individual stations, including analysis and correction of errors caused by software, hardware or data entry. Transmit and receive data via floppy disk, modem and other electronic means. Extract data, formulate and interpret management reports, create archives, backups, and data saves in support of military deployments and detachment operations. Perform a wide range of clerical and administrative duties related to aircraft maintenance, such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing and typing, performing database and systems analysis. Purpose and Scope: The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. Purpose and Scope: The Aircraft Survival Flight Equipment Technician II manages, performs, and schedules inspections, maintenance, and adjustments of assigned aircrew flight equipment (AFE), associated supplies, and inventories assets.
