Summary: The Aircraft Technician at the GSO Service Center operates within a certified FAR Part 145 Repair Station. Responsible for performing assigned maintenance tasks, inspections, functional and operational checks, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs of airframe and powerplant systems and components using approved methods, techniques, and practices. Document all work performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and Repair Station/Quality Manual procedures. Demonstrate proficiency with maintenance tools, equipment, and techniques specific to aircraft service. Identify, protect, and preserve components and parts in accordance with RSM/QCM standards and company procedures. Ensure all installed parts, materials, and products meet applicable regulatory and quality requirements. Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Provide detailed shift turnovers when maintenance tasks are incomplete at the end of a shift. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. A&P License required under 14 CFR Part 65 (from a FAR Part 147 school). Experience working in a FAR Part 145 Repair Station. Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 43 required; familiarity with Parts 91, 135, and 145 preferred. Prior experience maintaining general aviation and/or corporate aircraft. Proficiency with maintenance software (e.g., Quantum, Corridor, SAP) and Microsoft Office products. Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and inspection protocols. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines. Capable of interpreting work orders, blueprints, diagrams, and maintenance manuals. Willingness to work extended hours and travel with short notice as needed. Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
