About the Role
The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is seeking a Part-time Aircraft Mechanic Instructor to deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in assigned courses while handling administrative duties like record-keeping and student assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach scheduled aircraft maintenance courses in an inclusive environment
- Develop curriculum aligned with industry standards
- Maintain safe classroom and laboratory spaces
- Track student attendance and academic records
- Attend professional development and faculty meetings
- Manage department inventory
- Address student retention concerns
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate
- Minimum 3 years aircraft maintenance hands-on experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong theoretical and practical aircraft maintenance knowledge
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in related field
- CampusNexus experience
Work Schedule Options
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–2:00 PM
- Monday–Thursday: 5:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Friday–Sunday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Compensation
$28–$35 per hour based on experience
