The Aircraft Interior Component Strip & Recovering Technician position will be responsible for conducting Interior maintenance and Refurbishment of all aircraft inducted into the Premier MRO in Dayton, Ohio. This position reports to the Interior Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all aircraft interior maintenance and refurbishment as assigned.
- Has advanced knowledge of the Interior removal and installation processes.
- Can complete Interior R&R with no supervision and has a working knowledge of and is in training to be a specialist in all areas below as an
- Aircraft seat pattern developer, seat cover design, curtain, and other material and leather sewer,
- Aircraft Cabinet and component finisher/repair specialist,
- Cabin & Cockpit (Includes seat belt systems) Seat Repair and foam specialist,
- Carpet cut, fit, finish, surge and bind specialist and/or
- Interior component Strip & Recovering specialist,
NOTE: This position is not a master or competent specialist in all these Interior refurbishment area specialties but is an expert in Interior removal and installation and will have a focus and experience on stripping aircraft interior component parts to the base part, and then recovering these parts back to the customer’s aircraft specifications as contracted to the MRO assigned by management.
- Removal, installation, and troubleshooting problems related to the Interior furnishings of the aircraft including removing, repair and re-installing all interior aircraft components, which includes and is not limited to the removing, repairing, and installing seats, headliners, side panels, window lines, cabinets, doors, drawers, closets lavatory systems, partitions, all parts, pieces, composite materials in the interior of the aircraft.
- Has working knowledge and is competent at removing and installing material coverings from all parts and pieces for the aircraft interior that are not woodwork related to the aircraft.
- Must be capable to Inspect, remove, protect and install aircraft interior parts and associated component pieces including seats, headliners, side panels, window lines, cabinets, doors, drawers, lavatory systems, partitions, all parts, pieces, composite materials in the interior of the aircraft.
- Interior technicians will assist in R&R of cabinets, doors, bulkheads, tray tables, and lavatories, to include remove and installing sound-proofing mechanisms, lighting, all attachments & hardware, oxygen masks, doors, cabinet inserts, window lines and wall panels to include proper storage, record and accountability of hardware with cover and protection of removed interior items.
- Must be experienced and responsible for ensuring airworthiness as defined within 14 CFR by researching permanent records, maintenance tracking program, FAA Airworthiness Directives, Manufacturer’s Service Bulletins and Customer Bulletins on aircraft.
- Maintains a safe, clean, organized work environment and reports any unsafe conditions.
- Other duties, as assigned to the aircraft MRO as part of the Interior Department responsibility, will be required by management.

Qualifications:
- Must speak, read, and write English Fluently to meet required FAA regulations.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have organizational and schedule planning capabilities and experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office and Corridor software is preferred.
- Aircraft interior experience minimum of 1-3 years.
- Strong troubleshooting and time management skills for corporate MRO interior refurbishment is preferred.
- Must be experienced working with the FAA and have strong comprehensive knowledge of 14 CFR 91 & 135.
- Ability to work without constant supervision.
- Must be a team player and work to meet team goals and directions.
