Job Description

We are currently seeking an exceptional Senior Airframe and Powerplant Aircraft Maintenance Engineer- A&P Mechanic to join our team in Washington- Dulles Airport!!!

Senior Airframe and Powerplant Aircraft Maintenance Engineer- A&P Mechanic (IAD), under minimal supervision, will perform aircraft line maintenance activities in accordance with the company, the FAA and other regulatory and customer standards. The Senior Airframe and Powerplant Aircraft Maintenance Engineer- A&P Mechanic will be required to mentor more junior A&Ps and or A&P apprentices, he/she will also be required to fill in as Lead when required or on a rotating basis. This is a position for highly skilled and highly motivated candidates offering a top tier pay rate. Once accepted to this position, the individual is expected to maintain the same level of performance as the position requires.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mentor junior A&P mechanics or A&P apprentices
  • Fill in as a Lead on occasion. This may include participating in a lead role on a rotating schedule such as one or two days a week.
  • Perform all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Flightcheck’s RSM, QMC, customers’ procedures, FARS and all other applicable rules and regulations
  • Read wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
  • Perform operational and preventive checks and alignments on aircraft flight controls, stabilization systems, avionics, troubleshooting equipment using technical manuals and schematic drawings; and inspecting
  • Responsible for completion of aircraft documentation
  • Interprets discrepancies or logs (written or verbal) to understand history and nature of issue, to troubleshoot issue, and to identify required next steps (e.g., fix, defer, replace)

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years with Airframe and Powerplant experience
  • B777-200/300/F min 160 hr theory training with appropriate engine endorsements held for 3 years
  • B787-8/9/10 min 160hr theory training with appropriate engine endorsements held for 3 years
  • A330-200/300/800 min 80 hr theory training with appropriate engine endorsements held for 3 years
  • B767-200/300 min 80 hr theory training with appropriate engine endorsements
  • B757-200/300 min 80 hr theory training with appropriate engine endorsements
  • B737 Max min 80 hr Fam theory training with appropriate engine endorsements
  • A350-900/1000 min 160 hr theory training with appropriate engine endorsements
  • Ability to work independently effectively and efficiently with excellent line maintenance and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills with management, customers, and MOC
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work late or come in on days off
  • Highly motivated
  • Experience in avionics troubleshooting
