Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an A&P Aircraft Mechanic to join our team, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft systems and components. The ideal candidate will have experience performing heavy maintenance/modifications/troubleshooting on fixed wing aircraft (5+ years of experience) OR business/corporate jets (2+ years of experience) AND possess an active A&P License. This is a long-term/permanent career opportunity NOT a short term contract.
Responsibilities
- Executing comprehensive inspections and overhauls: This involves disassembling major components, inspecting for wear, damage, or corrosion, and performing necessary repairs or replacements. This is often associated with "C" or "D" checks, which are deeper inspections than routine checks.
- Conducting mechanical modifications: This can include work on crucial systems like landing gears, wings, and engines, as needed for upgrades or repairs.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations: All work must adhere to FAA regulations, manufacturer manuals, and company procedures to ensure the aircraft remains airworthy.
- Performing modifications and upgrades: This includes altering aircraft and aircraft systems, which could involve installing new avionics, upgrading interiors, or adding specialized equipment.
- Working with blueprints and work orders: Analyzing and interpreting these documents to guide the installation and modification process.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems: Identifying the root cause of malfunctions in complex systems such as hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues: Utilizing diagnostic tools and manuals to identify and fix problems, ensuring proper functioning of all systems.
- Repairing damaged aircraft components: Replacing defective parts, and repairing or replacing malfunctioning components, often using specialized tools and equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must possess an active A&P License
- Must have 2+ years of experience working as an A&P Mechanic on Business/Corporate Jets OR 5+ years of experience working as an A&P Mechanic on fixed wing aircraft
- Must have experience working in a heavy maintenance environment performing modifications and troubleshooting
- Must be able to work assigned shift (see employment details)
- Basic tools are required (They do NOT need to be etched or shadowed)
- Must be able to commute to or relocate to the Dayton, OH area prior to starting work (Per diem available to those who are relocating - see employment details)
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Must have a proven track record of suitable job tenure
- Must be located in the US & be eligible/authorized to work in the US without VISA Sponsorship
Employment Details:
- This is a long-term/permanent career opportunity (6 month contract to hire) NOT a short term contract
- Compensation: $30-$38/hr (DOE & platform experience) {2+ years of experience on Business/Corporate Jets = $32-$38/hr ; 5+ years of experience working on any fixed wing aircraft = $30-$34/hr}
- Tax free per diem offered to those who qualify (up to $920/week)
- Work Schedule: 5/8s (Mon-Fri) 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. (minimum of 10hrs OT available every week)

- Onboarding: 10-year background check & employment, FAA/DOT drug screen

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
