Amentum is currently seeking a qualified Supervisor 1 at our Mayport, Florida Site. The successful candidate will be a charismatic leader with robust communication and problem-solving skills. You will work a flexible schedule, providing coverage to ensure effective oversight during shift operations. Availability for occasional weekend hours is necessary. Job Description: The Site Supervisor will report directly to the Site Manager and will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the flight schedule, ensuring they are conducted in the safest manner possible. The supervisor will have oversight over all aspects of maintenance operations, including program quality, logistics, training, analysis, and metrics. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the secondary point of contact with GFR/GGFR. Oversee workforce in executing principles, standards, and techniques of operations, QA, GOP, aircraft maintenance, and contract requirements. Ensure compliance with federal, DOD, state, and local regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance and environmental protection. Implement strategies and metrics to track performance and apply countermeasure diagnostic tools to address gaps. Perform other duties as assigned. Represent Amentum with professional standards of dress, hygiene, and conduct. Performance Standards: Set and model standards, demonstrating leadership. Prioritize and schedule assignments. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 10 combined years of Aviation Operations Management experience in QA, ES&H, contracts, and/or Maintenance. Minimum 3 years of aviation QA management. Minimum 3 years of aviation ES&H management. Minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance management. Valid driver’s license and US Passport. Proficient with office automation software (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel). Willingness to work alternate shift schedules when necessary, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be eligible to obtain / maintain a Tier 3 US Government Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. *As a Crew Chief, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day.* * In conjunction with Supervisor, oversee and/or perform daily activities for an assigned functional area of MHIRJ Aviation. * Leading a team of aircraft maintenance technicians including certificated and/or non-certificated technicians * Coordinate workload requirements with Supervisors. * Plans, directs, layouts and coordinates the activities of the assigned Maintenance Department to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency. * The Crew Chief is a working member of the maintenance group and is directly responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor. * Maintains the work areas, building, ground support equipment and materials that are utilized for aircraft maintenance in safe, clean, and operable condition. * Conduct Team Meetings with Supervisor * Oversee employee activities and document as required. * Communicate aircraft discrepancies with Supervisors, customer representatives, and employees. * Provide technical guidance/expertise in functional area up to and including using complex manuals and blueprints. * Mentor, train, and provide performance feedback. * Provide input on disciplinary actions, performance management programs and selection process. * Comply with environmental health and safety policies/procedures. * Participate in 5-S activities. * Provide in-put on accident investigation and associated paperwork. * Monitor/ensure accurate data collection on employees in assigned work area. * Monitor routine task cards and N/R budgets. * Estimate man-hours and prepare time estimates. * Complete/approve all paperwork prior to turnover to QC/QA for final release. * Working outside may be required at times. * May be required to work on the aircraft to support the business needs. * Performs other duties as necessary to support the efficient operation of the department and company. *Here’s what is required to succeed as a Crew Chief.* * Minimum of two (2) years practical aircraft maintenance experience * Possess an FAA A&P license OR possess the “A” license. * Thorough knowledge in functional area as evidenced through previous experience and skill. * Good organizational and communication skills * Plan and organize tasks; prioritize, assign, and coordinate work. * Advanced knowledge of inspection/ maintenance procedures in functional area * Advanced knowledge of pertinent reference materials * Ability to work shift unsupervised within prescribed framework of authority. * Engine run and taxi qualification may be required. * Fuel farm qualification may be required. * Enjoy working on commercial aircraft and growing professionally. * You have basic PC (computer) skills. *Join us…here’s the why.* Do you have a passion for aviation? RS SC Supervisor - Weekend Nights in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: 5th shift/weekends nights.
