Summary: The Workforce Group a LEMOINE company, is seeking Refueling Technicians responsible for the safe and efficient refueling of vehicles, generators, and equipment during disaster response efforts. This role involves operating fuel dispensing equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. The Refueling Technician supports the logistics and operations of the emergency fueling team to ensure timely and effective fuel distribution in disaster-affected areas. These are seasonal positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs. Ideal candidates for these missions will be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notification. Location: Disaster Response Locations in Alabama Duties and Responsibilities: Operate fuel dispensing equipment to refuel vehicles, generators, and other equipment in disaster-affected areas. Assist with safely dispensing fuel from tanker trucks into emergency utility vehicles and generators. Ensure accurate measurement and recording of dispensed fuel. Follow proper procedures for fuel handling and dispensing to prevent spills and accidents. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment to ensure operational readiness. Identify and troubleshoot any mechanical issues and coordinate repairs, as necessary. Ensure all equipment is maintained in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations related to fuel handling and transportation. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. Participate in safety training and drills to remain prepared for emergency situations. Assist with the setup and operation of temporary fuel stations in disaster-affected areas. Maintain accurate records of fuel deliveries, usage, and inventory levels. Support the logistics team in coordinating the delivery and distribution of fuel. Maintain clear communication with the Fuel Operations Supervisor regarding refueling status, equipment condition, and any issues encountered. Prepare and submit daily reports on refueling activities and equipment status. Respond to emergency call outs and be available for deployment on short notice during disaster events. The ability to travel within as soon as 12-72 hours of notification is preferred. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as is a valid driver's license. A minimum of one year’s experience in fuel handling, logistics, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with experience in general labor, construction, warehouse, and industrial are encouraged to apply. Operating and reliable cell phone (Dispatch and GPS Coordinated) Proficient in using portable tablets is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance are preferred. Excellent record with a strong emphasis on safety. Ability to work long hours in challenging conditions during disaster response operations. Experience in emergency response or disaster recovery operations is preferred. Familiarity with fuel management processes and logistics is preferred. Reads, performs and complies with instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work. Essential Duties 1. Reads instructions and all cautions/warnings/notes information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work. 2. Prepares and maintains simple records such as work order documentation, logs, and time and material records, as instructed. 3. Cleans aircraft fuel tank structure (exterior and interior) and components thoroughly, undergoing inspection according to company policy and his/her supervisor’s instructions. 4. Ensure aircraft is properly grounded prior to cleaning operations, as required. 5. Removes and installs fasteners on fuel access plates on the aircraft when directed. 6. Prepare surface (e.g., masking, drying, vacuuming) for paint. 7. Assist in pressure testing. 8. Obtain necessary sealant, solvent, cleaners, and wipers from hazardous material crib or shop storage area. Set-up ventilation equipment, as required, to supply fresh air in work areas. 9. Assist other fuel technicians with repetitive ‘in process’ sealing on open and accessible wing integral fuel tank items and other assemblies (e.g., floors, ribs, spars, wing panels). 10. Assist other fuel technicians with sealing and/or topcoat per specifications including fillet seal to system components, bushings, fittings that penetrate fuel cells, and tubing ground straps, sealing heads and collars of fasteners. 11. Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g., scissors lifts, elevated work platforms). 12. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner (e.g., solvents, thinners, and primers).
